NAPERVILLE, IL (March 30, 2024). It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to our inaugural newsletter! As Co-Chairs of the Illinois Race Amity Day Initiative, we are honored to embark on this journey towards building a more inclusive and connected community through Race Amity Day celebrations throughout the community! At the heart of our mission lies the belief in the power of race amity - the deep and genuine friendship that transcends racial and cultural divides. Race Amity Day on the second Sunday in June will help foster dialogue, friendship, and unity among Illinois citizens of different races, cultures, languages, and skin colors.
Together, we can strive to cultivate understanding, empathy, and unity! Please join us as we work towards promoting harmony and solidarity in DuPage County and beyond! Your participation and support are invaluable as we strive to make a positive impact on the world around us. Thanks for being part of this important initiative. We invite you to subscribe to this periodic newsletter, “like us” on Facebook, and visit our website (www.ILCitizens4Race Amity Day.org) to volunteer, or lend your support. Together, we can create a brighter future filled with respect, compassion, and unity.
Warm regards,
Jim Percic & Bette Lawrence-Water
